Right before I headed out for my run today, I got a text message from my buddy Mark, “Feel like German Food?”

As I sat down at the table, I found myself surrounded by all the German locals. It was interesting to watch all of the older men try to figure what nationality I am. Japan, Korea, Philippine they pretty much guessed everyplace in Asia except Hong Kong.

For appetizer we had a plate of mystery meat aka fear factor as Mark calls it, it consists of 3-4 different types of deli meat slice and some sausages. I had the sampler platter for my main meal, which also consist of more meat and sausages along with some sauerkraut, egg noodles and german potato salad. It was good it was very good.

At the end of our meal, we had some complimentary egg nod liquor served in a shot glass that made out of dark chocolate. The older gentleman next to me even showed me how to open a Grolsch bottle with one finger, and shared some of his WWII stories.

It was indeed a good experience.

First I would like to say thank you to everyone for all of your cards, comments and emails this past week. Last week was indeed very sad, but I believe Coco is in a much happier place right now.

Sorry for the lack of updates, I was in Stowe VT for some snowboarding the pass few days. Riding condition was not ideal; there were death cookies all over the trails. The two falls I had felt like I was falling onto a bed of giant marbles. It f**king hurts!! Good thing I had my helmet on. Thank you Chris for being a wonderful guide around the mountain, and for tuning my board.

After a full day of riding, Chris and I went to the bar for a couple cans PBR. (It was on special for 2.75, and I was poor) We were shooting the shit with this one guy who sat next to us. The whole time I was thinking to myself hmm..this guy looks so familiar, I know I’ve seen his face somewhere but I just couldn’t recall his name. A few minutes later Chris whispered into my ear “just an FYI that’s Jake Burton we are talking to” OMG I’m drinking with the the founder of Burton snowboard!! That was pretty darn cool.

Anyway I just want to say a big thank you to the Canby’s for all of your hospitality over the weekend. I had a wonderful time. Thank You!!

Thank you for being part of my family for the past 13 years, all the good times we had together, I wouldn’t trade it with anything else on earth. Rest in peace my girl

Over the pass few months, I had been spending many hours in the pool trying to perfect my freestyle. Regardless of all the lessons and tips I learned from all my coaches, swimming is still a very new sport to me. I often find myself fighting the water instead of making it work for me.

My biggest problem is I would pay so much attention to ensure I have the proper form, and I would completely forget about my breathing pattern. (not exhaling fully) As a result the level of carbon dioxide in my bloodstream increases, leaving me feeling out of breath just after a hundred yards.

With 218 days left, I really need to work on how to relax while remaining focus in the water.

Sorry for the lack of update, I had been somewhat anti social lately. Between my day job, training and catching up on Hero season 1 and House season 3. I really don’t have much time for any other kind of social activities. I know I’m lame.

The HK marathon is about 11 weeks away. So far I’m feeling pretty good. I will do my 14 mile run this weekend, and that is pretty much as exciting as my weekend will get.

Well she could not drive straight and draw her makeup eyeliner thingy at the same time. LADY, FINISH YOUR FACE PAINTING BEFORE YOU HIT THE ROAD. WTF!!
